Construction type:
Steel frame construction from floor above basement with solid concrete slabs (steel reinforced concrete composite structure, Krupp company), comprising in part subcellar, basement, ground floor, 1st to 4th upper floors, 5th floor for service and utility equipment. Gable walls filled in with brick, longitudinal walls with steel and glass elements, basement and subcellar in reinforced concrete, subcellar foundation on elastically-supported slabs, otherwise individual and strip foundations.
Remodeling work:
Modification of steel construction on upper floors as a result of change in use , build new reinforced concrete stairwell from basement to 4th floor, external basement walls on street side breached to take windows for the new library in the basement.
